We both hate fast food but that was the only thing that was quick and easy. Once we got back on the road, Makenzie woke up from her nap, and Chris had to get in the back to feed her.. and then we need to stop in the middle of no where to change her butt..This was a fun experience!

Once we left Nana's, The lil' Gerhardt's head to their hotel room. We hung out, went swimming, took naps, walked down the blvd, went to Whole Foods...[and we think we saw Nichole Ritchie in there] and then we went to dinner at a well know deli in Cali...Jerry's Deli..YuM! Makenzie started getting really fussy while we were at dinner. So I really did not get to finish eating..boo...but that is okay. After dinner we head across the parking lot and we both got frozen yogurt. We are addicted to frozen yogurt...its our newest favorite thing.
The next morning, we went and picked up donuts at a place that my grandpa use to take my sister and I every time we would come down to visit them. We visited with them for a little bit longer. After we left Grandma Carol's, we stopped off to see my Grandpa's Grave Site...

Then we wanted to go to the beach. We drove down into Malibu, passed Pipperdine Unveristy, and then drove down the Coast highway. We ended up at Zuma beach; we had a brought some subway sandwiches, and just peopled watch.

Makenzie did okay for the first 10 minutes when she was playing with the sand in between her toes, but the she flipped a switch and she would not stop crying for the life of us...
As we were driving away from the beach, she started to calm down and fall asleep. Its like she does not like the beach, which I don't understand how she can not like the beach...lol!! We got back to the hotel and got showered...then we headed to dinner with Grandma Carol, Uncle Brandon, Danny, and My Step Brother Nathan [Thanks Nathan for coming to dinner with us, it was good seeing you!]
After dinner, we had back to our hotel. All of us passed out and woke up about 730am and got ready to come home...
All in all it was a great lil vacation. It was great to get away for a few...it was well needed!!
