Our Adventure...

This past Friday, We packed up the car, loaded the kids up, and We were on our way. For the first 2 1/2 hours of the drive, Makenzie cried the entire time. Chris, My Sister, and Myself could not do anything to calm her down, it was literally impossible. As we got off the interstate, she fell asleep, so She probably slept for about 15 minutes in about a 5 hour drive.
(yes...insert Sad Face here)

We got to our hotel, quickly got ready and head over to my grandma's house for a quick visit. After visiting with her for about 30 minutes or so. We had to leave and head over to Forest Lawn Cemetery. We were there to celebrate Grandpa Jim's life! He passed away Tuesday Morning (May 10th) due to Myocardial Infarction (Heart Attack). The service was beautiful and it was hard to say our goodbyes to Grandpa Jim, but we are very glad that he is not hurting anymore!! After the service, we noticed that Makenzie was starting to get really fussy and that it was time for us to head to the hotel room to give her a nap. Chris ended up staying behind with both Makenzie and Kayden, while Brittany (my sister) and I head to the Dinner that was after the service.

When we finished dinner, We headed back to the hotel and picked Chris and the two little ones up to meet my parents at the local car show that they have every Friday Night. There were some pretty cool looking cars...
Here are some of Chris' Favorite Ones...

Saturday, May 14th, was my birthday. My dad felt bad that we had to be in California under the circumstance that we were there. So he suggested that we go do something fun. We were not very far from Universal Studios, Disneyland, and the beach. So guess where we went....

Yes, We went to Disneyland!! I've been wanting to go to Disneyland for the longest time. My dad and Step Mama suggested that they would watch Makenzie and Kayden for us while we went. We did not hesitate on making that decision on going without them for the day. We had lots of fun spending the day there. The three of us (Chris, Brittany, and Myself) felt like little kids again. It was nice to have a day just to us as well. Although, we did miss them at the very end of the day.
Here are some pictures of us at Disneyland...

After we left Disneyland, We met up with My Parents, and My Uncle Randy and his family for dinner at a Mexican Restaurant called Don Cuco's. This is one of our favorite restaurants when we come down to California. There is nothing like having Mexican Food in California!!
On Sunday Morning, We packed up the room then headed down to the beach.
We did not play in the water or sit on the beach because it was FREEEEZZZZIINNNGG,
but we did walk the boardwalk.
We looked at all the fresh fish that was brought in, Makenzie definitely liked looking at all of them.
We had some lunch and then head back home. It seriously felt like it took forever to get home, because we were stopping every hour to change diapers and for feedings. During the drive, Makenzie did something really cute. I was feeding her gold fish while I was sitting in the front seat and she was directly behind me. When I would put my hand out in front of her, she would grab my fingers to pull my hand closer to her.
We had a very long weekend, but yet a very fun weekend!
It was great seeing family that we have not seen in a very long time!
